Look guys. I see a lot of people get upset because they don’t think their art is going anywhere, but it is. In no way did I ever expect to get to where I am today, and neither did I expect to be cheered on by plenty of friends and followers. On the left is what I did last night, to sort of re-try the picture on the right. The picture on the right is just from last fall. In such a short amount of time, I see so much improvement. I want to thank you all for supporting me, I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys.
I think she has this backwards…… The one on the right looks like the better one….
No, the artist does not have it backwards! The one on the left has vastly improved anatomy and form. Not to mention an improved grasp of gravity. The only difference in quality is that one of them is shaded and has final details and the other one doesn’t!
(Look at the legs between the one on the left and the one on the right. I mean the legs. Not the boots. If the artist was to redline the one on the right, it would be much easier to see the flaws they’ve improved upon :>)
you can see so much improvement just in her posture, there’s some foreshortening there, the fabric seems to bunch a lot more loosely and appropriately around the buckles, and everything seems to have a nice weight and depth to it. Simpler style does not equate to less skill!
